“The Girkis printing house: A real race against time to satisfy the demand for electoral campaign posters in Beni”

The election campaign is in full swing in Beni, a bustling city in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The streets are invaded by posters of all sizes, as candidates rush to the printing houses to print their campaign materials. This is creating particular excitement among printing companies, who see a golden opportunity to increase their turnover.

The Girkis printing company is particularly busy, with orders from candidates who waited until the last minute to print their posters. Employees must adapt to this intense work pace, aware that this period will not last forever. This is why they are sacrificing themselves to make the most of this electoral opportunity.

Fabrice Ntrido, of Imprimerie Girkis, explains the enthusiasm that reigns in the company: “We felt a strong warmth, a boiling in the company. The campaign for us is a godsend. Because it allows us to be mobile within the service. The different candidates who come to us, each with their own needs, we satisfy them.”

The Girkis printing shop is always full, between those who come to collect their posters and those who come to place new orders. Philémon Kinzanzalo, who manages reception, strives to respond to everyone’s requests in the order of arrival: “You noticed the movement there was in the printing shop. Many people were there to collect their products and others to have their projects designed. Everyone was satisfied with the work that was done on their behalf.”

In just one day, the Girkis printing company printed nearly 1,500 square meters of posters on tarpaulins, 2,000 posters in A4 format and 1,500 posters in A3 format. It’s a real race against time to respond to all the candidates’ requests, but the printing company is proud to contribute to their electoral campaign.

This excitement around the election campaign offers a unique opportunity for printing companies to improve their turnover. However, it is important to remain vigilant and prepare for the post-campaign period, as this intense period will only last for a short while. In the meantime, the employees of the Girkis printing company continue to work hard to satisfy all requests and make the most of this electoral boon.
