His file was registered at the Candidature Reception and Processing Office (BRTC), located at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).
During her visit to the CENI, Marie Josée IFOKU was received by the President of the commission, Denis KADIMA KAZADI. She discussed with him the electoral process that will lead to the elections scheduled for December 20, 2023.
In a press statement, Marie Josée IFOKU explained her political vision based on the ideology of “kombolization”. She emphasizes that her objective is to put an end to the system of predation and bad practices that have prevailed in the DRC since its independence. According to her, it is time to break with this system and allow the rebirth of the country.
“Kombolization” is developed in five key points, which will be presented in detail later. Marie Josée IFOKU insists on her commitment to the Congolese people and their desire to lead the country by bringing a vision of rupture with the practices of the past.
She also underlined her confidence in the President of the CENI, Denis KADIMA, and offered him her support in the organization of good elections, in order to put an end to the legitimacy crises which punctuated previous electoral cycles.
With her candidacy, Marie Josée IFOKU becomes the first woman to enter the race for president in the DRC, thus marking a significant advance in the political representation of women in the country.
We now have to wait for the next stages of the electoral process and see how the candidacy of Marie Josée IFOKU will be received by Congolese voters. The presidential race promises to be exciting and could mark a turning point in the political history of the DRC.
