The Kinshasa General Hospital, commonly known as Mama Yemo, is about to be inaugurated after a large-scale rehabilitation and modernization. This landmark event is scheduled for December 15, 2023 and will be chaired by the Congolese Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi.
This rehabilitation is the fruit of the vision of President Tshisekedi who implemented a program to renovate health structures in the country. Mama Yemo Hospital, which had not undergone significant transformation for 60 years, was chosen as the first rehabilitation project.
Thanks to this project, the Mama Yemo hospital has undergone significant transformations and now has 500 beds, thus providing increased reception capacity for patients. In addition, all the essential services of a modern hospital have been put in place to guarantee quality care to the population.
