“The Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal, visits Lualaba companies to guarantee transparency and compliance with the rules”

News from the Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal, meeting Lualaba companies

The Director General of the Agency for the Regulation and Surveillance of Pharmaceutical Substances (ARSP), Miguel Kashal, continues his mission of control and supervision of companies established in the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Accompanied by the President of the Congo Business Federation (FEC) Lualaba, Miguel Kashal went to the Kamoto Cooper Company (KCC) for a visit to verify the regularity of subcontracting activities.

The announcement of the visit by ARSP inspectors had already been made beforehand, demonstrating the importance given to transparency and compliance with the rules in this company located in Kolwezi. FEC Lualaba welcomes this initiative and believes that the partnership with ARSP will be beneficial to local entrepreneurs.

The President of the FEC Lualaba underlines the importance of this visit by declaring: “We can only applaud this initiative, because since the signing of the protocol with the ARSP, nothing has happened. But today, With the arrival of General Manager Miguel Kashal on site, we are convinced that things will change and that this will not remain just a simple slogan, but will become a reality.”

The Congolese entrepreneurs present in the delegation of the Director General of ARSP also express their confidence in this institution, which defends the interests of Congolese entrepreneurs, in particular young entrepreneurs. They emphasize the importance of this representation for their defense, whereas before they were often marginalized.

This control operation, which is in strict compliance with the law on subcontracting and its implementing measures, echoes similar actions carried out in other companies such as KAMOA and SICOMINES. The objective is to preserve a favorable business climate in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and to promote the economic development of the country.

This visit by the Director General of ARSP to Lualaba companies illustrates the Congolese government’s commitment to promoting transparency and supporting local entrepreneurs. This is an important step towards strengthening the country’s economic sector and towards achieving the objectives set by the President of the Republic Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi.
