“Control of the IGF in Mbuji-Mayi: The transparency of the works on National Road No. 1 highlighted”

The General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) recently launched a control mission in the town of Mbuji-Mayi, capital of the Kasai Oriental province, in order to check the progress of works on National Road No. 1.

This mission, led by inspector Mujinga Mpenga, aims to assess the effectiveness of the work underway in the city, in particular by examining the financial operations carried out by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The IGF’s visit follows concerns expressed by the Governor of Kasai Oriental province regarding insufficient funding for works of community interest in her region. As part of this mission, IGF inspectors will not only assess the progress of works on National Road No. 1, but also other sites opened in the city of Mbuji-Mayi.

During a meeting with Madam Governor, Inspector Mujinga Mpenga stressed the importance of this monitoring mission to ensure that allocated funds are used efficiently and transparently. The aim is to ensure that work progresses according to expectations and that financial resources are properly managed.

Collaboration between the IGF and provincial authorities is essential to ensure the proper execution of infrastructure projects and promote the economic and social development of the region. This control mission will make it possible to identify possible problems and put in place appropriate solutions to guarantee the quality and sustainability of the work.

In conclusion, the control mission of the General Inspectorate of Finance in Mbuji-Mayi demonstrates the commitment of the Congolese government to ensure the proper use of public resources and to ensure the completion of infrastructure works in compliance with standards of quality and transparency.
