The Democratic Republic of Congo modernizes its visa system thanks to an innovative electronic platform

The Democratic Republic of Congo is taking a further step towards modernizing its visa management system with the establishment of an integrated electronic visa management platform. This announcement was made by the Minister of Digital, Désiré Casimir Eberande Kolongele during the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by the Head of State Félix Tshisekedi.

This platform, called E-visa, will allow visa applicants to apply from anywhere in the world. This will greatly facilitate administrative procedures and allow travelers to enter the Democratic Republic of Congo more easily.

The Minister of Digital highlighted that this innovative technological solution will allow the government to digitally manage visas, creating automatic online operation for the 61 diplomatic missions and consular posts around the world. This will optimize processes and ensure border security.

Indeed, the issuance of visas in the DRC has always been a challenge, particularly due to the dilapidated state of the current operator’s equipment. Thanks to the establishment of this platform, the government will be able to significantly improve visa management and provide a better experience for travelers.

This technological advance demonstrates the Congolese government’s desire to modernize its infrastructure and facilitate international trade. It will help promote the country’s economic development by attracting more investments and tourists.

The establishment of the integrated electronic visa management platform in the Democratic Republic of Congo is therefore a major step forward which will simplify administrative procedures and improve the efficiency of the visa issuance system. This will strengthen the DRC’s position on the international scene and promote its economic and tourism development.
