“Floribert Anzuluni submits his candidacy for the presidency of the DRC: a new lease of life for electoral transparency”

Floribert Anzuluni, candidate for the presidency of the Democratic Republic of Congo, recently submitted his candidacy for the presidential elections scheduled for December 2023. This official submission took place at the Office of Reception and Processing of Candidatures (BRTC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).

During this occasion, Floribert Anzuluni underlined the importance of citizen control to ensure the transparency of the electoral process. Aware of the concerns and weaknesses already raised regarding the process, he expressed his desire to promote transparency by encouraging each citizen to be vigilant and ensure that their vote is respected.

It is in this context that Floribert Anzuluni met the president of the CENI, Dénis Kadima, to discuss the quality and transparency of the current electoral process. This meeting made it possible to clarify certain aspects of the process and to discuss citizens’ expectations in terms of transparency and integrity.

Floribert Anzuluni also presented his candidacy as an alternative for a new Congo. His candidacy emanates from a process of citizen primaries organized by the “Alternative for a New Congo” platform, highlighting the need to free the country from a predatory management system that has persisted for too long.

The CENI recorded a total of 7 applications at the close of the application submission period. Among the 24 candidates competing for the presidential election, the candidacy of Floribert Anzuluni stands out for his civic approach and his commitment to renewal.

This submission of candidacy marks an important step in the electoral process in the DRC. The next few months will be crucial for candidates and citizens across the country seeking positive change. Citizen vigilance and transparency will be essential to guarantee fair and democratic elections.
