News: President Félix Tshisekedi launches the construction of the Kasomeno-Kasenga-Chalwe-Kabila Mwenda road
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, began a working visit to Haut-Katanga, where he launched construction work on the Kasomeno-Kasenga-Chalwe-Kabila Mwenda road. This important road will connect the two neighboring countries and reduce the distance from more than 2000 to 1700 km, a saving of 600 km round trip.
This initiative aims to strengthen ties between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia, while promoting the economic and social development of the regions crossed by this route. In the presence of the Zambian President, this work launch ceremony marks a significant step in cooperation between the two nations.
In addition to launching the construction of the road, President Tshisekedi also inaugurated a school built under the Local Development Program – PDL-145 T. This investment in education demonstrates the President’s commitment to providing quality educational opportunities for young Congolese.
President Tshisekedi’s visit to the Haut-Katanga province does not stop there. A series of inaugurations of basic infrastructure is also planned in Sakania, as well as communion with the population with the aim of strengthening the link between the government and citizens.
Finally, in the neighboring province of Lualaba, President Tshisekedi will continue his visit by inaugurating the trading center and closing the 7th edition of the Concrete Expo. It will also mark the launch of the first mining fair and inaugurate the new building of the Lualaba Provincial Assembly.
This traveling visit by President Tshisekedi testifies to his desire to personally see the evolution of projects on the ground and the importance he attaches to the development of the regions and the improvement of the living conditions of the Congolese population. .
