Chicks drown or freeze to death when the ice gives way under their fragile legs.
Faced with this alarming observation, it is urgent to act to preserve the Antarctic sea ice and its fragile ecosystem. Actions must be taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and slow global warming.
