State examination in the DRC: the call to return the organization to the General Inspectorate of Education
The organization of the state exam in the Democratic Republic of Congo raises serious concerns. The Synergy of trade union and social organizations of the DRC recently issued an urgent appeal to the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) to return the organization of this examination to the General Inspectorate of Education .
According to Synergy, the ministry should grant the General Inspectorate its administrative and financial autonomy in the organization of the state examination. This decision would put an end to the debacle observed during the last edition of this exam, marked by several dysfunctions.
Furthermore, the Synergy of trade union organizations insists on respecting the school calendar established by the Ministry of EPST. Indeed, it is essential that exam dates are respected in order to guarantee continuity and fairness in the educational process.
In its press release, Synergy also expresses its concern about respect for the principles and standards that govern social dialogue in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She asks the government to avoid muzzling trade unionists and to question the Minister of EPST on the dysfunctions observed in the organization of the state exam as well as on the centralized management of the General Inspectorate of Education.
This appeal from the Synergy of trade union and social organizations in the DRC highlights the persistent problems in the organization of the state examination in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He underlines the need to restore autonomy to the General Inspectorate of Education in order to ensure effective and transparent management of this crucial exam for Congolese students. It is now the responsibility of the Ministry of EPST to take into account this call and work on concrete solutions to improve the process of organizing the state exam in the DRC.
