The General Inspectorate of Finance on mission to Mbuji-Mayi to evaluate the program of the 145 territories
Mbuji-Mayi, a town in the Orientale province, recently welcomed a delegation from the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) led by Victor Batubenga Pandamadi. Upon their arrival, the members of the delegation went to the general prosecutor’s office where they were received by the Attorney General Maurice Kama.
The reason for this visit? Take stock of President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi’s flagship program, namely the development program for the 145 territories. Victor Batubenga, Deputy Head of Department of the IGF, underlined the importance of this visit in order to discuss possible constraints encountered on the ground and to work in collaboration with the judicial system to resolve them.
“We came to see the evolution of the local program of 145 territories, a program which is close to the Head of State,” declared Victor Batubenga. He also specified that measures were necessary to facilitate and unblock certain situations on the ground.
Before their trip to Mbuji-Mayi, Victor Batubenga assessed the mission of the financial inspectors in place in the province. After reviewing all the files, he gave new directives aimed at improving the team’s performance.
This visit by the General Inspectorate of Finance to Mbuji-Mayi highlights the Congolese government’s commitment to promoting the development of different territories across the country.
