Kinshasa, September 9, 2023 – The Mining Cadastre of the Democratic Republic of Congo (CAMI) recently closed its Budget Conference for the 2024 financial year. This four-day meeting was an opportunity for CAMI executives and agents to establish realistic budget forecasts for the coming year.
The main objective of this conference was to strategically plan the management of the mining domain and the titles granted, in line with the vision of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi. CAMI is committed to actively contributing to improving the governance of the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Discussions at the conference covered various topics, such as how CAMI can support the President’s vision for the development of the mining sector and how to expand its presence in the mining regions of the country. The objective is to strengthen the supervision and regulation of the mining sector on a national scale.
At the close of the conference, the Director General of CAMI, Mr. Paul MABOLIA YENGA, welcomed the progress of the work and underlined the commitment of all participants. He also stressed the importance of respecting the budget lines set at the conference.
