The Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, Augustin Kabuya, traveled along the Paris-Brussels axis from May 19 to 26, 2023 with a delegation made up of Me Elvis Mayo Bieme, Dr Jonas Kalambayi, Amisi Makutano and Me Patrick Yala Lemba. Warmly welcomed at Zaventem airport by activists and executives of his party as well as those of other allies of the Udps, Augustin Kabuya had an intense political activity.
During his trip, the Secretary General met successively with several delegations, including members of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium, those of the section of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and a dozen young people from the “Autre vision of the Congo”. Augustin Kabuya encouraged them to sincerity, unity, and consideration of UDPS fighters of all kinds.
Back in Brussels, he received several individuals and members of the Dutch and German federations who had come to meet him. Subsequently, he met Ms. Benedicta Lasi, Secretary General of the Socialist International, and discussed with her the prospects of the organization.
The Secretary General also visited Alexandre Ngyekama, Federal President hospitalized at the Gonesse Hospital Center in the Ile de France region, with a message of comfort and support.
Finally, the meeting with the Udps community of Belgium in the Nh Brussels Carrefour room allowed Augustin Kabuya to discuss preparations for the presidential election, financial and material means for the federation.
This trip was an opportunity for Augustin Kabuya to meet and encourage members of his party as well as to discuss prospects for the Udps. Constructive meetings which show the commitment and know-how of the Secretary General
