The Catholic University of Congo hosted the national final of the OHADA international competition, which took place on Saturday, June 10, 2023. The universities of Kinshasa, Protestante du Congo, Pédagogique Nationale and the UCC participated to this competition.
The winners of this national final, student AMINE from UNIKIN and ABDAL YUMULANI Fernand from the first year of UCC, will represent the DRC next September at the 14th edition of the international contest Génies en Herbe OHADA. A competition that will bring together several countries here in the DRC.
The candidates embarked on pleadings against the backdrop of a fictitious trial before judges LOSENGO Thade, Marie Lydie Makelele, Landry Mpongo, Hervé Bia “Tata N’longi” and Jerry Alphonse Ntetika. UCC student Abdallah faced UPN’s Muizu, while Unikin’s Amine faced the UPC student.
The president of the court made some observations to the competitors on the substance and the form, in order to urge them to prepare well to represent the DRC in the most beautiful way during the international competition.
The winners spoke in front of the media professionals, acknowledging the invaluable help of their motivators, and promising to give their best to obtain a good result during the OHADA international competition.
This competition represents a real scientific and educational activity, which aims to popularize OHADA Law and to familiarize students with this new law in the field of business.
The Democratic Republic of Congo will host, in Kinshasa, 16 other countries of the OHADA space, for the organization of the second round, the Regional. This international competition will therefore be an opportunity for the country to shine on a continental scale.
