Title: Concrete achievements, positive assessment of the program led by Jean MABI of BCECO
Introduction (150 words):
The Central Coordination Office (BCECO), under the direction of Jean MABI, recently visited the field to see the progress of the government program. The latter aims to build and renovate essential infrastructure such as schools, health centers and administrative buildings in different provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Over the months, the results of this program begin to be felt and demonstrate its success, unlike some previous projects. The field visit revealed the construction of works to international standards, including multi-purpose rooms and a solar lighting system. In addition, adjustments have been made to facilitate access for children with reduced mobility. These concrete achievements refute the unfounded accusations made against Jean MABI and testify to his commitment to the success of this project.
Development (300 words):
Since September 2022, the BCECO program has been implemented in collaboration with Local Executing Agencies (LEAs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The first phase, carried out by the LEAs, already has 313 works delivered, including 189 schools and 124 health centres. The field visit revealed the realization of these projects and the satisfaction of international construction standards. Each building now has a solar system to ensure its lighting, thus contributing to sustainability and energy efficiency.
In the territory of Kazumba, at the Muana Bute school, adjustments have been made to guarantee accessibility for children with reduced mobility. The steps at the entrance to the classrooms have been replaced by ramps, providing better accessibility for all students. This initiative bears witness to the attention paid to the specific needs of the beneficiaries of the programme.
The second phase, entrusted to SMEs, began in February-March 2023 and aims to build 418 additional works, including administrative buildings, schools and health centres. Every day, new works are completed, and the BCECO is well on its way to achieving its objectives.

The BCECO program, led by Jean MABI, is showing concrete and promising results. Field visits revealed the construction of works to international standards, meeting the needs of the beneficiaries.
