Biometric identification catch-up process for State agents: Kasai Oriental officially launches the second wave of census.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Service, Jean Pierre Lihau officially launched on June 8 the second wave of the process of catching up with the biometric identification of State service agents in Kasai Oriental.

This initiative follows the promise made by the Minister in January 2023, and aims to identify agents who could not be identified during the first phase. The launch ceremony took place in the presence of provincial authorities, including the governor of Kasai Oriental province, Mathias Kabeya Matshi.

The governor hailed the efforts of the President of the Republic in the process of pacification of the eastern part of the country and for his vision of improving public administration by bringing innovations. He also encouraged the Minister of Civil Service for his efforts to reform and clean up the public administration.

This second phase of biometric identification is an important step in the modernization of public administration in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It will make it possible to reliably identify and register civil servants, with a view to optimizing their remuneration and ensuring better management of their administrative files.

The implementation of these new identification and population census technologies will promote sustainable future development in the DRC. The government continues to work to improve the quality of life of the Congolese by modernizing its public services and establishing a transparent and efficient administration.

This process of modernizing public administration must be considered a priority in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, if the country wants to put itself on the path of economic and social development. This requires a strong commitment from the government to continue its efforts to modernize public services and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
