“Maniema: An investment of 40,000 dollars to open up the city of Kindu”

The financing of the operation to open up certain neighborhoods in the town of Kindu, in the province of Maniema, is making great strides. Provincial Government facilitators recently released an envelope of US$40,000 to support this crucial initiative.

The money was handed over to companies selected by the interim Governor of the province, Afani Idrissa Mangala. This amount is a down payment on a total of $60,000 needed for the first phase of the work. It will enable the Office of Roads and Drainage (OVD) to have the necessary financial resources to carry out the work.

More specifically, this money will mainly be used for the construction of box culverts and culverts, essential works of art to open up the neighborhoods concerned. Three projects will be carried out simultaneously in the RVA, Brazza and Tokolote districts. This work should last about a month.
