Hermione Bolumbe Bakando, president of the HBO Global Social Protection Foundation, traveled to Kingabwa in the commune of Limite in Kinshasa. Last November, the Foundation successfully carried out a campaign of free operations by video-surgery in Grand Kasaï for surgical interventions for several diseases such as cataracts, gallbladder, spleen, or even benign tumors of the prostate.
Hermione Bolumbe Bakando also spoke about the importance of providing quality care to all people in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She said: “We deserve better and there is an opportunity to get it right so that we all have access to this care. This is what is very important and this is why I undertook this visit”. Additionally, she explained that her foundation conducted a field study to identify neighborhoods where the impact would be greatest.
Recently, the HBO Foundation officially joined the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS/Kibassa). This membership took place at the party headquarters in the municipality of Limete, before inviting all the activists to support the President of the Republic for the next elections and giving him an absolute majority in Parliament.
