DRC: a regime communicator supports the independence of the judiciary in the face of accusations of authoritarianism by the opposition.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the political situation remains tense. While political opponents denounce authoritarian acts on the part of the regime in place, the communicator of the political platform of the Head of State, Thierry Monsenepwo, denies all the accusations and affirms that justice is independent in the DRC.

Despite the reactions of the opposition, human rights NGOs, as well as Western embassies, Thierry Monsenepwo remains determined and invites opponents to let justice do its job. To strengthen his argument, he evokes examples of American justice which condemned their former president Donald Trump or even South African justice with the conviction of Jacob Zuma, both opponents of the regimes in place.

In addition, Thierry Monsenepwo is very critical of the claims of opponents, in particular those of Moïse Katumbi, Matata and Sessanga, who complain about the high cost of living. According to him, they are far from credible to talk about such an issue.

However, tension continues to rise in the DRC. Opponents were arrested and searches were carried out in their residences, which drew widespread criticism from the opposition.

At the same time, the security situation remains worrying in some provinces, with uprisings, attacks by armed groups and kidnappings of civilians.

With the recent launch of an agricultural program in partnership with DEM and Bio Agro Business, the DRC continues to make efforts to improve the living conditions of its population and diversify its economy, but the political situation remains a brake on its development.
