Fair for young Congolese entrepreneurs: a day of inspiration, exchanges and financing with “The Godfather”!

The fair for young Congolese entrepreneurs organized by the “Le Parrain” Foundation took place on June 1, 2023 at the Pullman Lubumbashi. This second edition of the summit brought together several young Congolese entrepreneurs to discuss their projects and exchange with the winners of the first edition in Kinshasa.

Passy MUKOMA, president of the “Le Parrain” Foundation, encouraged Congolese youth to follow the examples of young entrepreneurs who managed to make their business a success despite a difficult start. This ceremony was marked by a panel of young entrepreneurs who presented their projects, including BUNKETE plus, AFYA, ATIA super Gari, MASANGA KONGO and rabbit and quail breeding.

The Vice-Governor of Haut-Katanga province, Jean-Claude KANFWA, joined the organizers in encouraging Congolese entrepreneurs, stressing that entrepreneurship is the only way to create jobs and stimulate the country’s economic growth.

After this exchange session, a group of new candidates presented their project and submitted a request for financing for their company. At the end of this pitch session, a check for 10,000 US dollars was given to each of the five entrepreneurs selected to help them start their business with the help of the “The Godfather” Foundation.

The “Le Parrain” Foundation continues to create opportunities for Congolese youth and to support local entrepreneurs by offering a space for exchange and interaction for young entrepreneurs in the DRC.

In summary, the young Congolese entrepreneurs fair was a day of inspiration, exchange and financing for young Congolese entrepreneurs. The “Le Parrain” Foundation has offered adequate support as well as financial assistance to materialize the projects and ambitions of young entrepreneurs
