Lack of implementation of recommendations in education in the DRC: an urgent call for action to improve the system

The lack of implementation of recommendations in the education sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo was strongly deplored by the Director of the educational province (PROVED)/Kwilu 1, Shanga Oshanga Kapinga, during an annual performance review. According to him, the recommendations made in previous years are not followed and this leads to an eternal repetition of the same problems.

Shanga Oshanga Kapinga stressed the importance of the involvement of all education stakeholders, both at provincial and national level, in order to remedy this situation. Among other things, he mentioned the need to train under-qualified teachers, ensure sanitation in schools to prevent disease and improve hygiene facilities.

The Director of PROVED also denounced the problems of school construction and overcrowded classes. According to him, these recommendations must be taken into account and implemented in order to improve the quality of education in the province.

It is essential to note that this lack of follow-up is a recurrent problem and it is important to put in place measures to ensure the execution of the recommendations made during the annual reviews. Education authorities should be aware of the importance of these recommendations for improving the education system in the country.

In conclusion, it is essential to remedy the lack of implementation of the recommendations in the education sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This requires the involvement of all stakeholders and rigorous monitoring to implement concrete and sustainable actions
