Political news is in the spotlight today, with the trip of the Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, Augustin Kabuya, in the Paris-Brussels axis. Accompanied by a delegation made up of various party members, Augustin Kabuya had intense political activity during this trip.
During his stay, the Secretary General met several delegations of members of the European Federations, and discussed with them the major problems that would weaken the Udps. He also encouraged members to unity and sincerity, and to take into consideration Udps fighters of all kinds.
In France, Augustin Kabuya spoke with members of the Federation of France, and discussed the preparations for the presidential election, as well as the financial and material means for the federation. He also visited Alexandre Ngyekama, federal president hospitalized at the Gonesse Hospital Center in the Île-de-France region, with a message of comfort and support.
Back in Brussels, the Secretary General received several individuals and members of the Dutch and German federations who traveled to the European capital to meet the day-to-day manager of the ruling party. Augustin Kabuya also welcomed Ms. Benedicta Lasi, Secretary General of the Socialist International, and had constructive exchanges with her on the prospects of the Socialist International.
Finally, the highlight of this trip was the meeting with the Udps community in Belgium, where Augustin Kabuya spoke in front of hundreds of fighters.
This trip by the UDPS delegation to Europe shows the party’s desire to strengthen its links with members abroad, and to become actively involved in political life in Europe.
