“Kasaï: titanic work to save the Kapongo Institute from a dangerous ravine”

Title: Kasai: Huge works to eradicate a dangerous ravine

The Kapongo Institute, located in the commune of Kanzala in Tshikapa, has been threatened by a ravine for some time. On Friday, June 2, the governor of the province of Kasai, Mr. Dieudonné Pieme, launched the work to fill in the ravine to avoid this imminent danger which threatened the lives of the inhabitants of the city.

The central government has sent anti-erosion machinery and equipment to enable workers to carry out the drainage and construction for the safety of the Kapongo Institute. The work was successfully launched and the population expressed its gratitude to the President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi and the provincial authority for their attention paid to the safety of citizens.

Indeed, this colossal project will require the stopping of this ravine which has already engulfed a few houses of peaceful citizens. Governor Dieudonné Pieme therefore asked the people of Kasai to lend a hand to the workers to work and secure these backfilling works.

In conclusion, the embankment work in progress is a reassuring example of the Congolese government’s concern for the safety of its population. This is an important step forward for the people of Tshikapa, because it is about the life and safety of Congolese citizens.
