The reunification of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) seems to be on the right track with the round of sensitization undertaken by the four Historical Founders of this party. Charles Dia Onken-a-Mbel, Paul-Gabriel Kapita Shabangi, François Lusanga Ngiele and Protais Lumbu Maloba Ndiba were received by important political figures such as former Prime Minister Samy Badibanga Ntita, President of the “Les Progressistes” Party, the former Prime Minister Bruno Tshibala Nzhenzhe, National President of UDPS/TSHIBALA, and Honorary Ambassador François-Xavier Beltchika Kalubye, National President of CDPS.
However, the interview with Bruno Tshibala Nzhenzhe was not conclusive, because the latter does not share the mission of the Historical Founders of the UDPS. Some indiscretions reveal that the last two meetings scheduled are those with UDPS/LE PEUPLE and ANAFEC.
This reunification is an important step for the UDPS, which suffered a split in 2018. By raising awareness among political figures to succeed in this mission of reunification, the Historical Founders of the UDPS are encouraged to continue on this path of political reconciliation.
