The evolution of the Local Development Program in the territories of the Democratic Republic of Congo is a source of deep concern on the part of the General Inspectorate of Finance. Initiated by President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, this project aims to promote development from decentralized territorial entities.
In order to ensure the progress of work in the territories, an IGF delegation visited the province of Kasaï-Oriental. On their journey, they were able to see the realities on the ground and assess the progress made in more than 8 sites.
Unfortunately, the report on the level of the territory of Tshilenge was disappointing, with the destruction of the administrative building in baked bricks by the angry population. That said, despite the challenges encountered, Victor Batubenga, Deputy Head of Service of the IGF, remains optimistic about the end of the works and their positive impact on development.
Monitoring the execution of this program is essential to ensure that the materials used are of good quality and that the works comply with the necessary standards. This is why the IGF has building inspector engineers equipped with instruments to assess the strength of the concrete and the quality of the works under construction.
The IGF delegation was also able to see the progress of the work in other villages such as Katanda, Bibanga and Manda. Despite the constraints related to the delivery of materials, progress is being made and useful proposals have been made to enable students to study in good conditions from the start of the next school year.
The initiative of President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in favor of harmonious local development is welcomed, as it aims to provide quality infrastructure such as schools and health centers accessible to all. These actions are essential for the well-being of the population and to achieve the development objectives set by the government.
Crossing the Lubilanji River to return to the town of Mbuji-Mayi, the IGF delegation was able to observe the realities on the ground and take into account the challenges to be met for the success of this local development program.
In conclusion, the evaluation of works in the territories of the Democratic Republic of Congo by the General Inspectorate of Finance is a key element in ensuring the correct use of allocated funds and the quality of the infrastructure under construction. This approach contributes to the improvement of local development and the well-being of the Congolese population
