“Support José Dikanua and the Congolese athletes during the Games of La Francophonie! Be proud of their performance!”

Congolese judoka José Dikanua recently appealed for public support at the upcoming Games of La Francophonie. This request was expressed during an interview with Radio Okapi, where Dikanua invited spectators to come in large numbers to support the Congolese athletes involved in the nine disciplines planned for this event.

The goal of Dikanua, who will represent the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 81 kg category, is to make his country proud. He says he is ready to give everything to win medals and bring back victories for the DRC. His coach, Lebeau Lotika, also expressed his confidence in Dikanua’s ability to offer a medal to his country, underlining his rigor and seriousness in his preparation.

Born November 11, 2005 in Kinshasa, José Dikanua began his career as a judoka at the age of 7 in the Saint Joseph judo club in the municipality of Kasa-Vubu. Since then, he has won several titles, including the African championship in Burundi and the Kinshasa championship.

Dikanua’s participation in the Francophonie Games is an opportunity for him to show the talent and determination of Congolese athletes on the international scene. He hopes to inspire other young talents to take up judo and pursue their sporting dreams.

The support of the Congolese public will therefore be crucial to motivate and encourage Dikanua and the other athletes representing the DRC at the Games of La Francophonie. Their presence and encouragement will help create a positive atmosphere and give Congolese athletes the support they need to push their limits and achieve excellence.

The Francophonie Games are an opportunity for Congolese sport to shine and make itself known internationally. By supporting José Dikanua and other Congolese athletes, we are helping to promote Congolese sport and inspire the future generation to pursue their sporting dreams
