Scandal at the Kinshasa Provincial Assembly: Politico-ethnic manipulations denounced by the deputies

Politico-ethnic manipulations in the Kinshasa Provincial Assembly: a real scandal

In a recent statement, the provincial deputies of Kinshasa express their deep indignation at the politico-ethnic manipulations orchestrated by Godé Mpoyi. The latter seeks to be reinstated at the head of the Assembly despite his dismissal for serious misconduct and incompetence. This situation, described as serious by elected officials, threatens institutional stability and compromises the rule of law and democracy advocated by the Head of State.

The dismissal of Godé Mpoyi was voted by an absolute majority because of defamatory remarks and his disruptive behavior within the Provincial Assembly. However, instead of accepting this decision, Mpoyi multiplies legal recourse and political maneuvers to try to regain his position. He appeals to pastors and members of his home province to support his cause, thus putting forward ethnic and tribal considerations.

The provincial deputies denounce these maneuvers and warn against the intimidation, threats and blackmail that some of them face. They point to the inconsistent behavior of Mpoyi, who claims to be on sick leave while being active in political activities and interviews on the socio-economic situation in the country.

Faced with this worrying situation, the provincial deputies of Kinshasa are calling for respect for the law and an end to these politico-ethnic manipulations. They stress the importance of preserving democracy, the unity of the country and the integrity of institutions. They demand an immediate cessation of these practices which threaten the institutional order and jeopardize the stability of the country.

It is essential that the population remain vigilant and informed about these events in order to guarantee transparency in the management of public affairs. Politico-ethnic manipulations can in no way serve the interests of the Congolese people. Only justice, ethics and responsibility should guide the actions of political leaders.

In conclusion, it is imperative to strongly condemn these politico-ethnic manipulations at the Kinshasa Provincial Assembly. Respect for the law and democratic principles must take precedence to guarantee the stability of the country and the well-being of its citizens. Everyone’s vigilance is necessary to deal with such abuses and preserve the integrity of Congolese institutions
