“Kinshasa is building the Cité des Métiers for the professional future of its youth”

Kinshasa is preparing for the professional future of its youth with the construction of a Cité des Métiers

Deputy Commissioner Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba made his first official outing alongside the President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi. The purpose of this outing was to launch the construction works of the Cité des Métiers “Musala”, financed by the Belgian Embassy in Kinshasa. This vocational training center will be built within the agricultural institution of Mombele.

Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba, the new commander of the Police of the city of Kinshasa, showed during this demonstration his professionalism by ensuring the security of the place. He has already announced his determination to hunt down the “Kulunas” and to make Kinshasa a secure city where everyone can go about their business in peace.

This Cité des Métiers project, estimated at 10 million euros, is part of the Kin-Emploi program aimed at reducing the unemployment rate among young people aged 15 to 25, 50% of whom are women. It offers new employment and training prospects for Congolese youth.

In a pre-election context, the successor of General Sylvano Kasongo will have many challenges to overcome to ensure the security and stability of the Congolese capital
