The political landscape of Tshikapa comes alive with the approach of the elections for the national deputy. The Office of Reception and Processing of Applications (BRTC) has registered three compliant applications out of the nine received so far. Candidates include the Alliance for Development Actions in Congo (AADC-A), the Movement for the Liberation of Congo (MLC) and the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS).

The AADC-A, the MLC and the UDPS all presented candidates for the national deputy. The UDPS chose Mwanza Munya and Lukadi as candidates for the town of Tshikapa, along with eight other candidates for the territory of Tshikapa. The AADC-A and the MLC also presented several candidates, each having its representatives for the city and the territory.

However, the application process is not yet complete. Some political formations have withdrawn forms, but have not yet returned them to the BRTC. Additional reviews are underway for problem files to allow for resubmission.

In the commune of Kanzala, the effervescence is already felt in the staffs of the political parties. Groups and political parties are actively working to prepare their candidates and mobilize voters for the upcoming elections.

This election period is crucial for Tshikapa and for the whole country. The future national deputies will have the responsibility of representing the aspirations of the people and contributing to the development of the region.
