According to information confirmed by master John Vuleverio, Coordinator of the new Congolese civil society of Mambasa, the rebels of the democratic and allied forces, ADF, recently launched a new attack in the chiefdom of Babila Bakwanza.
This new incursion, which occurred last Thursday, July 13, unfortunately caused the loss of several civilian lives. According to the testimonies collected, 12 civilians were killed during the attack, including 9 north of Elake village and 3 in Mangina-Pori, in the Babila Bapwele group. Moreover, it is alarming to know that more than 20 other civilians killed by the terrorists are still left lifeless in Mangina-Pori.
Faced with this dramatic situation, Master John Vuleverio called on the military authorities to intensify offensive operations against the ADF. It underlines the importance of a serious and effective response to protect local populations and guarantee their safety.
