Festiras: the rap and slam festival returns for a second edition
The Congolese music scene will soon vibrate to the rhythm of Festiras, the rap and slam festival. This second edition, which will take place from July 27 to 28, 2023 in Bukavu, in the province of South Kivu, promises to be exceptional. Festival-goers will have the chance to attend performances by renowned artists such as La Fouine, Yekima de Bel’Art, MPR, Carmel Makaya alias Poècrate, and many more.
Initiated by Alidor Chibembe, the Festiras aims to be a meeting place for exchange and sharing between local and international artists. This festival, which focuses on the theme “Oratorical art at the heart of change”, aims to strengthen the capacities of local artists in terms of writing, stage presence and interaction with the public.
In addition to providing a stage for emerging artists such as Afande Ready, Capita Amon, Black Firi, Eln Black, Oga Chac, Jeffrey, 12 balls, Miss Nadia, Adriano, Acouda and many others, the Festiras is also an opportunity for festival-goers to discover new talents and experience moments of sharing and emotion.
