Physical and biometric control of soldiers in Ituri: a crucial measure to ensure security in the DRC

As part of the in-depth reform of the Congolese army and to deal with the resurgence of violence in the Ituri region, the Military Governor of the province has launched a physical and biometric control operation of the active soldiers of the 32nd military region. This initiative aims to obtain a specific number of military personnel in the area in order to strengthen national defense capabilities against internal and external threats.

The operation of physical and biometric control of the military is extended to the whole of Ituri province, a region which faces relentless attacks from ADF rebels and terrorists from the M23, supported by the army Rwandan. This situation created security instability and required a rapid and effective response to protect the population and restore order in the region.

The main objective of this control is to control the manpower of the units of the armed forces to improve the living conditions of the soldiers. By knowing precisely the number of soldiers present in the region, it is possible to better organize their logistics, their equipment and their support, which contributes to strengthening their operational effectiveness in the field.

In order to guarantee the success of this operation, it is imperative that all the soldiers of the 32nd military region present themselves for the control within their unit. The military governor was the first to set an example by submitting himself to control, thus showing the importance of this measure and the commitment of the entire Congolese army to securing the region.

In conclusion, the physical and biometric control of soldiers in Ituri is a crucial step in the reform of the Congolese army and in the fight against armed groups that threaten the stability of the region. By controlling the numbers, improving the living conditions of the military and strengthening their operational efficiency, it will be possible to guarantee the security of the population and preserve the integrity of Congolese territory
