“Kibali: Impressive achievements in Q2 2023 cement its status as a major player in the mining sector”

Mining company Kibali is making headlines with its impressive achievements in the second quarter of 2023. At a recent press conference, Mark Bristow, Chairman of the Board of Kibali, disclosed the main achievements of the mining company.

First, Kibali is on track to meet its year-end production targets. This is great news as it ensures the company’s stability and growth in the mining sector.

Second, Kibali successfully reintroduced 16 white rhinos to Garamba National Park. It is a significant effort for the preservation of wildlife and the protection of these endangered species.

Third, Kibali is working on a 16 MW solar power plant project with the aim of increasing the supply of renewable energy. This initiative aims to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and promote more sustainable development.

In line with the “Zero Incident” objective, Kibali has also transitioned to Bogging Multilite to improve safety and underground visibility in its mining operations.

To ensure continued growth, Kibali plans to replace depleted reserves by launching new operations and developing new veins.

Exploration also remains a priority for Kibali, with framework drilling on key prospective corridors leading to the discovery of new mineral resources.

In terms of social engagement, Kibali officially launched 11 projects in 2023, representing an investment of $8.9 million over five years. In addition, the company contributes to community development initiatives through a fund financed by 0.3% of its turnover.

Finally, Kibali actively supports the charity “Nos Vies en Partage”, which works for poverty reduction, education, primary health care and food security for women and children across the African continent.

These achievements demonstrate Kibali’s commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and economic growth. As a mining company, Kibali continues to position itself as a key player in development in the Democratic Republic of Congo
