Rex Kazadi Kanda, a leader of the Congolese diaspora, recently announced his candidacy for the presidential election which will take place in December 2023. In an open letter addressed to the Congolese people, Kazadi expresses his determination to change the order in place and to restore the Congo to its former honor and power.
In his letter, Rex Kazadi highlights the many crises facing the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC): budgetary crisis, diplomatic crisis and social crisis. According to him, these crises have had a negative impact on the lives of Congolese. He also criticizes the current regime led by Félix Tshisekedi, accusing it of pursuing a policy that only benefits a privileged few.
The leader of the Congolese diaspora also denounces the social insecurity that reigns in the country, with an increase in kidnappings and a deterioration in the exchange rate. He says the Congolese people deserve better and it’s time to put an end to these problems.
Rex Kazadi highlights the Congolese youth as the true wealth of the country and promises to invest fully in offering this youth a promising future. He wants to upset the order in place and bring prosperity back to the Congo.
Originally from Mbuji-mayi in the province of Kasaï-Oriental, Rex Kazadi began his political involvement in France in 2014 alongside Emmanuel Ilunga. After finding the Action Republicaine pour le Progrès (APR) too theoretical, he decided to create his own political party, Ba Patriotes ya Kongo (BPK), with the aim of seizing power and bringing about real change in the DRC.
Rex Kazadi’s candidacy brings new hope to the Congolese, who are eagerly awaiting the next presidential election. His commitment to youth and his desire to upset the order in place make him a candidate to watch closely. The coming months will be decisive for the country, which seeks to restore stability and prosperity
