“The non-regularization of the salaries of state agents in Haut-Katanga: a worrying situation which jeopardizes the presidential balance sheet”

State agents and civil servants in the province of Haut-Katanga are going through a difficult period marked by delays in the payment of their salaries for several months. This worrying situation has drawn the attention of National Deputy Nanou MEMBA, who does not hesitate to criticize the Provincial Governor, Jacques Kyabula Katwe.

As a member of the Sacred Union and a supporter of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, Nanou MEMBA wonders how it will be possible to defend the President’s record when the population is suffering due to the mismanagement of the leaders. It makes the improvement of the living conditions of agents and civil servants of the State a priority and asks the Governor to regularize the salary situation of the latter.

In a letter addressed to the Governor, Nanou MEMBA underlines the negative impact of this situation on the re-election of President Tshisekedi and warns of the consequences for the regime in place. He also calls on the Provincial Assembly of Haut-Katanga to assume its responsibilities and find urgent solutions to remedy this unacceptable situation.

It is essential that government officials and civil servants receive their salaries on time. This situation of non-payment causes them great financial difficulties and affects their morale and motivation in their work. It is the responsibility of managers to look after the well-being of their employees and to guarantee decent working conditions.

The population also suffers, as it sees its public services deteriorate due to the lack of resources and motivated personnel. Financial mismanagement only aggravates existing problems and damages the image of the regime in place.

It is therefore essential that the Governor and the Provincial Assembly take concrete measures to regularize the salary situation of State agents and civil servants, in order to restore confidence and guarantee the efficient functioning of the public administration.

It is also important to emphasize that this situation of non-payment of wages does not only affect Haut-Katanga, but is a problem that concerns many provinces in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is time for concrete measures to be taken to resolve this recurring problem and improve the living conditions of civil servants and State agents.

In conclusion, it is essential that the leaders take their responsibilities and act quickly to regularize the salary situation of agents and civil servants of the State. This will restore confidence and ensure the effective functioning of public administration, while playing a crucial role in the development and well-being of the Congolese population.
