Annual review of Faith Word In action: Review of progress and outlook for the year 2023
Faith Word In Action (FWA), a civic organization specializing in the development and empowerment of young women and girls, recently organized a workshop in Kinshasa. This event, supported by partners such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, aimed to take stock of the achievements of the past year and plan future actions for the year 2023.
The two-day workshop allowed participants to review FWA’s activities, highlighting successes and failures encountered. It was also an opportunity to assess the relevance of the results obtained and to identify the challenges to be met for the coming year.
According to Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In action, this workshop is not limited to activities related to the STITCH project, but also encompasses the different initiatives carried out by each partner. It is a moment of sharing and mutual learning, to promote the positive development of each member and strengthen their collaboration.
For almost four years, Faith Word In action has been operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a member of FEMNET, she plays a key role in the implementation of the STITCH project in seven African countries. This annual review thus enables FWA to consolidate its achievements and progress in its commitment to the empowerment of women and girls.
In a context where gender equality remains a major issue, Faith Word In action makes its contribution by encouraging young women to assume leadership roles within their community. Thanks to the support of its partners, it continues to develop projects and initiatives to promote the empowerment of women and their active participation in the development of society.
In conclusion, the annual review of Faith Word In action allows this civic structure to take stock of its actions and plan its actions for the coming year. Through its collaboration with organizations such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, FWA contributes to the empowerment of young women and girls by providing them with opportunities for leadership and development within their communities
