“Rupture of the FCC-CACH coalition in the DRC: Félix Tshisekedi expresses his regrets and accuses Joseph Kabila”

The FCC-CACH coalition in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) recently ended, prompting regret from President Félix Tshisekedi. During a televised exchange, he expressed his disappointment at the breakdown of this political alliance, placing the responsibility for this situation on his predecessor, former President Joseph Kabila.

Félix Tshisekedi underlined his investments and his conviction towards the solidarity of the Congolese in this alliance. He had hoped that the alliance between personalities from the opposition and the former regime would make it possible to change things peacefully and fraternally for the good of the country.

He expressed his regret at this situation, lamenting the end of a positive experience where former heads of state could devote themselves to their tasks without being disturbed. Unfortunately, according to him, his former allies thought that the power was exclusively for them, which led to the breakdown of the alliance.

For his part, Joseph Kabila threw the responsibility on Félix Tshisekedi, accusing him of not having kept his promises. The Front Commun pour le Congo (FCC), the coalition led by Joseph Kabila, suffered defections and some of its supporters withdrew from the ongoing electoral process. They denounce the establishment of an alleged dictatorship.

This break within the FCC-CACH coalition marks a political turning point in the DRC. She highlights the tensions between former allies and the challenges facing President Félix Tshisekedi in consolidating his power and carrying out his governance projects.

It is important to closely monitor political developments in the DRC, as this will have repercussions on the stability and development of the country. It remains to be seen how Felix Tshisekedi will navigate this new political reality and what the next developments will be in the country
