The Democratic Republic of Congo faces a major challenge: the rate of under-vaccination of children, affecting around 5.5 million children in rural areas. Despite barriers related to gender and religious beliefs, vaccination remains essential to prevent childhood diseases. Educating parents about the importance of the vaccination schedule, which includes essential vaccines, is crucial to strengthening children’s immune systems. Vaccination is an effective way to protect the health of children and must be a priority to ensure their well-being in the DRC.
