A glimmer of hope: the educational reintegration of thousands of children in cobalt mines in the DRC
An innovative project in the Democratic Republic of Congo has helped reintegrate more than 13,000 children working in cobalt mines into the school system. Thanks to a holistic approach, these children also benefited from health and psychological support, as well as school kits. The program aims to expand its activities to other minerals to eradicate child labor in mines in a sustainable manner. This initiative, led by the Congolese government, represents significant progress in the fight against child exploitation and offers them a better future.
