Norway and the United States of America announced a $70 million fund to support the development of the agricultural sector in Africa. The aim is to help 500 small and medium-sized agricultural businesses, 1.5 million small farmers and create 60,000 jobs. This initiative aims to strengthen financial institutions to facilitate access to financing in the agricultural sector. It comes as Africa experiences an increase in the number of undernourished people. This international collaboration demonstrates the importance given to the economic and social development of the African continent.
