
The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) of the Democratic Republic of Congo recently organized discussions with women, youth, people with disabilities and indigenous people in preparation for the upcoming elections. The objective of these meetings was to address electoral preparations and to respond to the concerns of the different components of the electorate. The president of the CENI stressed the importance of not being influenced by false information circulating on social networks. The CENI recognizes the importance of the participation of women, young people, people with disabilities and indigenous people in the electoral process. Participants were also informed about the legal framework and the operation of the electronic voting system. The CENI wants inclusive and peaceful elections where each voter plays a key role in the democratic evolution of the country.
