The Denise NYAKERU TSHISEKEDI Foundation brought together students from Haut Katanga to present the EXCELLENTIA program to them. This program encourages academic excellence by awarding scholarships to state exam winners. The President of the Foundation also raised awareness among the students about sickle cell anemia, a genetic disease. She encouraged young people to get tested and announced the establishment of screening kits in Lubumbashi hospitals. Since its launch, the program has supported 241 scholars and aims to award 1000 local scholarships and 100 international scholarships over 10 years.
