The President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, donated medicine to displaced people from Kwamouth living in Bandundu-ville. This initiative aims to ensure medical care for this population who were displaced due to insecurity in Kwilu. During the medicine delivery ceremony, Dr. Jean-Pierre Basake, responsible for health in the province, expressed his gratitude to President Tshisekedi for his laudable gesture. He also pleaded on behalf of other displaced people, hoping to see the grassroots local development project extended to the entire country. Ignace Ndona Muzinga, advisor to the president, underlined the importance of rational management of medicines for better medical care of displaced people. This action demonstrates the president’s support and solidarity with vulnerable populations affected by conflict and insecurity. It also illustrates its commitment to local development and the well-being of the Congolese population.
