
The territorial entities of Bunagana and Minembwe in the DRC raise serious concerns due to their quasi-autonomous operation and their alleged links with Rwanda and Uganda. This article explores the political debates, issues of governance and control, as well as security concerns and territorial sovereignty related to these entities. The Bunagana and Minembwe entities are accused of serving the interests of Rwanda and Uganda, calling into question the sovereignty of the DRC. The presence of international organizations and Minembwe’s monolithic military composition also raise questions about the legitimacy and stability of these entities. The situation highlights the challenges the country faces in preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
