The DRC has been subjected to Rwanda’s aggression for several years, which not only hinders its development, but also affects Africa as a whole. The violence perpetrated by the aggressors has a disastrous impact on the country’s stability and economic progress. Women are particularly affected, being victims of sexual violence which creates a climate of insecurity. Many development projects are delayed or even stopped, as the government focuses on resolving this conflict. Cooperation between the DRC and the RSA is crucial to find solutions to this worrying situation. The Heads of State of these two countries are committed to peace and development in their respective countries, as well as in Africa. Despite the geopolitical challenges, military cooperation between the DRC and the RSA remains strong. It is crucial that the international community support these efforts to enable peace and development in Africa.
