
In this article, we examine President Félix Tshisekedi’s decision to favor diplomacy in resolving the conflict between the DRC and Rwanda. Tshisekedi affirms his confidence in international partners to exert pressure on Rwanda and inflict sanctions on the country if necessary. This approach demonstrates his desire to preserve diplomatic relations between the two countries and to promote a peaceful solution. Tshisekedi also recognizes the importance of supporting the Congolese army for the country’s internal security. This strategy aims to protect the sovereignty of the DRC while seeking a balanced resolution of the conflict.
