
In this article, we relate the case of Claudine Masamba, who struggles to recover her inheritance taken hostage by her brothers. Despite the obstacles and dilatory maneuvers that hampered the procedure, Claudine remains determined to assert her rights. The article sheds light on the recent twists and turns of the case, with in particular the introduction of a notice of appeal by one of Claudine’s brothers, questioning the intentions of the brothers and their desire to sell off the property of the estate. Claudine Masamba denounces these maneuvers and mobilizes institutions to enforce her rights. The article also raises questions about justice and the protection of the rights of heirs in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We want the truth to come out and justice to be done in this complex case.
