The city of Beni, in the DRC, is known for its violence and armed conflicts. In order to promote peace and conflict prevention, an awareness campaign on the culture of peace was launched by the NGO JPCP. This initiative aims to encourage young people in Beni to become actors of peace, by promoting tolerance, reconciliation and peaceful cohabitation. The campaign began with workshops for students at Mututulo Primary School, which highlighted the importance of forgiveness and communication to resolve conflicts. The ultimate goal is to train ambassadors of peace who can transmit these values to their peers and their community. This campaign is a laudable initiative that hopes to create a peaceful future for Beni and serve as a model for other regions facing similar challenges.
