
The Business Plan Competition (COPA) program in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been very successful in investing $45 million in the development of SMEs and the support of young entrepreneurs. More than 1,000 SMEs and young entrepreneurs have benefited from this support, which has led to the creation of more than 2,151 jobs and an increase in sales of $22.7 million. The program, supported by the Congolese government and the World Bank, is proving to be an effective lever for stimulating entrepreneurship and promoting the country’s economic development.
