We identify the factors of food insecurity such as lack of access to a balanced diet, poverty, armed conflicts and climate change. We also stress the importance of effective government action involving multiple sectors to address malnutrition. The World Bank highlights the crucial role of a budget that includes nutrition programs such as breastfeeding and nutrition education. In conclusion, the implementation of effective policies and programs is necessary to prevent food insecurity and guarantee the optimal development of children.
